To sustain our excellent growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Development Manager.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Development Managerto help organise, lead and strengthen a small development team.

This is not a corporate middle-management role. It is a practical leadership position for someone who enjoys improving delivery, bringing structure, supporting developers and still being involved technically where needed.

You will work closely with two highly experienced board directors who remain technically involved and supportive but want someone to take ownership of the day-to-day coordination, planning and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

· Leading and coordinating a small team of software developers

· Managing priorities, workload planning and delivery schedules

· Improving team processes, communication and accountability

· Running stand-ups, sprint planning and delivery reviews where useful

· Supporting and mentoring developers

· Remaining hands-on technically when needed

· Overseeing DevOps, deployments and release processes

· Working directly with directors to align development with business priorities

· Helping shape a scalable, positive engineering culture

Required Experience

· Experience leading or mentoring software developers

· Strong software development background

· Comfortable managing workflow and priorities

· Experience with Agile / Scrum / practical delivery methods

· DevOps / CI/CD / deployment experience

· Able to balance technical quality with commercial pragmatism

· Comfortable working in a fast-moving SME environment
