About the Role

We're looking for a Junior Radiographer to join our clinic team. You'll perform diagnostic imaging procedures—primarily general X-ray and Fluoroscopy procedures—while delivering compassionate, patient-centred care to a diverse local population. You will also assist the cross-sectional Imaging teams (CT/MRI) with day to day workflows.

This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or early-career radiographer to develop clinical skills in a supportive, community-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general radiographic examinations (X-ray) according to clinical protocols and referral guidelines
  • Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure
  • Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, reporting faults promptly
  • Verify patient identity and ensure correct examination is performed
  • Provide clear instructions to patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns
  • Apply radiation protection principles for patients, staff, and yourself (ALARA)
  • Process, evaluate, and archive images using PACS/RIS systems
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Assist with quality assurance and equipment calibration checks
  • Collaborate with radiologists, referring clinicians, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Adhere to infection control, health and safety, and clinical governance standards

Requirements

Essential

  • Degree or diploma in Radiography (or equivalent qualification)
  • Right To Work in the UK
  • Current registration with UK Regulatory Body (HCPC)
  • Understanding of radiation safety regulations and best practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach

Desirable

  • Previous clinical placement or experience in a community or outpatient setting
  • Familiarity with PACS/RIS systems
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification
  • Competency and cannulation

What We Offer

  • Supportive mentorship from experienced radiographers
  • Opportunities for continuing professional development (CPD)
  • Structured training and competency framework
  • Collaborative, community-oriented work environment
  • Competitive salary and benefits package

We welcome applications from newly qualified radiographers. If you're committed to high-quality patient care and eager to grow your career in diagnostic imaging, we'd love to hear from you.
