This national alliance is driving forward the largest transformation of NHS infrastructure in a generation, using the Hospital 2.0 approach to boost capacity, modernise delivery, and build long‑term skills across the industry.
We are currently looking for a Planner - Healthcare (NHP) who will work in our Building Operating Unit, to assist with developing, maintaining and updating the integrated project programme to produce an accurate programme that manages time risk, activity count and float and for which the project team and customer can trust.
As the Planner - Healthcare (NHP), you will:
- Assist with progress monitoring and the recording of as-built data to maintain and update the project programme, help prepare programme submission documents and internal reporting.
- Work with the project team, designers and suppliers to produce, challenge and maintain collaborative short-term programmes that align with the main programme.
- Lead collaborative planning and short-term programme sessions with various on-site trade contractors and design team.
- Support the Senior Planning Manager and Skanska Project Team with the development of Production Control as a core process on the project.
- Work with Suppliers to agree how their programme should be developed, making clear constraints and calendars they should be working with. Ensure they follow the Skanska planning standards for programme development.
We are looking for:
- Experience of working on healthcare projects of circa £150m+.
- Proficient in use of planning software tools such as Asta Powerproject and/or Primavera P6.
- Experience in delivering planning tasks in accordance with contract requirements, such as JCT and/or NEC.
- Construction experience and a good technical understanding of engineering principles, construction techniques and best practices.
- Relevant CSCS Card.
