As we prepare for an exciting period of growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinic Service Manager to lead the operational delivery of our Edinburgh clinic and help create an exceptional patient experience.

Working closely with our clinical and leadership teams, you will help shape a modern healthcare service that puts patient care, quality and innovation at the heart of everything it does.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee the daily operation of clinic services, ensuring appointments, consultations, diagnostics and treatments run efficiently.
  • Develop and manage staff rotas to ensure safe and effective staffing levels across all services.
  • Coordinate specialist consultant and doctor-led clinics.
  • Monitor patient flow, waiting times and clinic utilisation.
  • Act as the operational escalation point for patients, clinicians and staff.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues while maintaining service continuity.

Patient Experience

  • Ensure every patient receives a high-quality experience from initial enquiry through to treatment and follow-up.
  • Monitor patient feedback and satisfaction.
  • Manage complaints and concerns professionally and effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to improve patient engagement and retention.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, motivate and develop clinical and non-clinical teams.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support professional development.
  • Identify training needs and workforce development opportunities.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative and patient-focused culture.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Healthcare Improvement Scotland regulations and standards.
  • Support clinical governance, quality assurance and risk management activities.
  • Lead operational audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain high standards of patient safety, infection prevention and information governance.

Financial & Commercial Performance

  • Monitor clinic performance against budgets and key performance indicators.
  • Support service growth and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Contribute to business development and new service implementation.
  • Produce and review operational performance information.

About You

Essential Requirements

  • Previous management experience within a private healthcare environment.
  • Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare governance, quality and compliance standards.
  • Working knowledge of Healthcare Improvement Scotland regulations and inspection requirements.
  • Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience managing operational performance and budgets.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and healthcare technology.

Desirable

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration.
  • Degree-level qualification in Healthcare Management, Business Management or a related field.
  • Experience within preventative healthcare, wellness services, health screening or private clinic settings.
  • Experience supporting the introduction or development of new healthcare services.
