As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as Clinical Governance Lead. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and driven nursing professional who is committed to excellence in care, patient safety and continuous improvement.

In this newly created role, you will be pivotal in supporting and strengthening the organisation's clinical governance framework. Working closely with our clinical and operational teams, you'll help strengthen systems, support learning, drive improvements and ensure the care we deliver remains safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.

Your Role

Reporting directly to the Director of Quality & Governance, you'll play a central role in developing and strengthening HASCS' clinical governance framework. This position is ideal for an experienced nurse who can confidently balance quality assurance, risk management, compliance and service improvement while maintaining a clear focus on the people we support.

You'll bring a calm and professional approach to complex situations, using sound clinical judgement, strong analytical skills and a collaborative mindset to support decision-making and drive positive change across the organisation.

You will lead on a range of governance and assurance activities, including:

  • Clinical and operational audits
  • Incident reviews, investigations and organisational learning
  • Quality assurance and compliance monitoring
  • Policy development and review
  • Service Improvement Plan monitoring
  • Complaints, safeguarding and Duty of Candour assurance
  • Governance reporting and inspection readiness
  • Infection Prevention & Control leadership
  • Governance, compliance and lessons learned training delivery

Essential Qualifications, Attributes & Skills:

  • A current NMC registration
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in clinical governance, quality assurance or compliance frameworks within a health and social care setting
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and inspection framework
  • Experience undertaking audits, investigations and quality reviews
  • Excellent communication, report writing and analytical skills
  • Experience within domiciliary care, home care or complex care settings
  • A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach
  • Incident management and investigation processes
  • Policy management & development
  • Strong IT skills e.g. Microsoft 365: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and proficient in SaaS, Clinical Management Systems

Desirable:

  • Previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager is desirable. Support with registration will be provided for candidates who are new to the role.
  • Experience within complex health & social care
  • Infection control lead experience
  • Information governance and data protection requirements.
