Full job description

We're looking for a talented illustrator to create engaging and detailed artwork for interactive children's books.

This job has an opportunity to work in our Main Office in China.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in kids' book illustration and can create clean, playful, and visually rich scenes that encourage exploration and interaction.

Important: Our characters, brand guidelines, and visual style are fully developed. Your job is to work within this system — not reinvent it. Every illustration must stay consistent with what already exists. Revisions will be requested whenever something drifts from the brief, and attention to detail in matching the established style is the most important skill for this role.

What You'll Do:

  • Illustrate scenes for interactive children's books — environments, characters, outfits, and interactive elements
  • Work entirely within our existing brand system — characters, style, and visual language are already defined and must be followed exactly
  • Collaborate closely with our team using provided references, briefs, and style guides
  • Prepare final artwork suitable for print production

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in children's book illustration or similar work
  • Strong skills in composition, color, and storytelling through visuals
  • Ability to create detailed, layered illustrations suitable for interactive formats
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop or similar tools
  • Good communication and openness to feedback
  • Willingness to relocate to Yiwu, China

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with children's activity books
  • Understanding of print-ready file setup
