About DEXA London — private Harley Street health service by 3Beam Imaging Centre

DEXA London is a leading diagnostic and preventative health service focused on advanced body composition and bone density scanning, alongside metabolic health assessments.

Our mission is to deliver advanced diagnostic insights through DEXA scanning and metabolic health assessment, with a clear focus on clinically meaningful, actionable data for both patients and clinicians. We combine DEXA scanning with targeted blood testing and health screening to deliver a more complete picture of health.

The Role

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our growing team.

This is an ideal role for a registered nurse with an interest in preventative health, diagnostics, and metabolic medicine, who wants to work at the intersection of clinical care, fitness, and patient-centred screening. You will bring your clinical judgement and registration to a service where accuracy, safety, and a high-quality patient experience are central.

You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality patient experience while primarily performing DEXA scans and carrying out blood testing. Full training will be provided in DEXA operation; you must be confident and competent performing venepuncture independently as part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

DEXA Scanning & Testing

  • Perform DEXA body composition and bone density scans
  • Ensure correct patient positioning and scan accuracy
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety and operational protocols

Phlebotomy & Health Testing

  • Perform venepuncture for blood tests as part of health assessments
  • Handle samples safely and in line with clinical governance standards
  • Prepare patients and explain procedures clearly

Patient Experience

  • Deliver a professional, calm and patient-centred experience
  • Guide patients through each stage of their visit
  • Ensure comfort, dignity, and confidentiality at all times

Results & Consultation Support

  • Explain DEXA scan outputs in a clear, structured, and understandable way
  • Support clinicians in delivering actionable health insights
  • Encourage appropriate follow-up and ongoing engagement

Administration & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate patient records using digital systems
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, clinical governance, and SOPs
  • Assist with day-to-day clinic operations

Requirements

DO NOT APPLY IF YOU REQUIRE VISA SPONSORSHIP

Registration & Background

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Nurse — essential
  • Valid right to work in the UK
  • Degree in nursing (RGN / Adult Nursing or equivalent)

Essential

  • Confident performing phlebotomy (venepuncture) independently (MUST HAVE PHLEBOTOMY EXPERIENCE)
  • Strong understanding of clinical governance, infection control, and patient confidentiality

Desirable (but not required)

  • Experience with medical imaging
  • Previous experience in private healthcare or wellness settings
  • Experience delivering 1:1 consultations or client-facing services
  • Interest in preventative and metabolic health

Training & Development

  • Full training provided in DEXA scan operation and clinical protocols
  • Ongoing development in preventative health and metabolic assessment

Working Hours

  • Full-time (40 hours per week)
  • May require working on Saturdays to cross-cover the lead radiographer

Pay: £35,000.00 per year
