Reporting Radiographer
Hours: 40 hours per week (also have a part time vacancy for 20 hours per week)

Job Purpose
As an MRI Reporting Radiographer, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic services by independently interpreting and reporting MRI examinations within your agreed scope of practice. Working autonomously, you’ll provide accurate, timely reports to support clinicians in delivering outstanding patient care, while also acting as a clinical expert, mentoring colleagues, promoting continuous professional development, and contributing to service improvement and quality assurance across our diagnostic services.
What you’ll be doing
- Independently interpret and report MRI examinations for GPs, consultants and other healthcare professionals within your scope of practice.
- Produce clear, accurate and timely diagnostic reports, taking responsibility for all reports issued under your HCPC registration.
- Escalate urgent or unexpected findings promptly to ensure patients receive appropriate and timely care.
- Monitor and audit the quality of MRI imaging and reporting, contributing to continuous quality improvement.
- Provide clinical advice and support to radiographers, referrers and other healthcare professionals.
- Support the development of reporting radiographers through teaching, mentoring and constructive feedback.
- Participate in clinical governance, audit activities and service improvement initiatives to maintain the highest standards of care.
- Maintain your professional knowledge through continuing professional development (CPD), peer review and compliance with national reporting standards.
What we’re looking for
- Recognised postgraduate qualification in MRI Reporting with the ability to report autonomously within your scope of practice.
- HCPC registered Radiographer with a commitment to maintaining professional standards and ongoing CPD.
- Excellent knowledge of MRI pathology and strong diagnostic reporting skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Confident communicator, able to explain findings and provide expert advice to clinicians and colleagues.
- Strong analytical skills with experience of audit, quality assurance and clinical governance.
- Passion for supporting and developing others through teaching, mentoring and knowledge sharing.
- Highly organised, self-motivated and committed to delivering exceptional patient-centred care.
