Greens of Soham is part of Top Farms International which farms over 75,000 Ha across the UK and Central and Eastern Europe with a well-established track record of delivering solid business and revenue growth. In the UK we farm in excess of 2,000 Ha, primarily in East Anglia but with operations also in Northumberland and the Scottish borders. Our primary focus is potatoes and beetroot and we are the largest grower of these crops in the UK.

ProSeed is our high grade mini tuber production facility, with the capacity to produce 1.5 million tubers a year from both substrate and our bespoke aeroponics systems. The facility is comprised of a laboratory, two glasshouses, seven separate poly tunnels, cold store & grader.

We have an excellent opportunity for someone to join the small team at ProSeed part time and on either a temporary or permanent basis.

Duties will be varied and training given but key tasks include:

• Working in glasshouse and polytunnels planting in both peat and non-peat systems
• Supporting team with cold store activities for seed
• Lab work to include multiplying the plants and checking health of crop
• Accurate recording of data in both lab and general site
• Maintaining good cleanliness and organisation of lab and stores
• Other tasks as needed to include basic maintenance and hygiene tasks

Whilst experience is not essential, the right person will have the ability to learn quickly, have good attention to detail and be able to record information accurately. Due to the nature of the manual tasks, good motor skills and concentration are essential.

Hours worked mostly during the working week but with the occasional weekend cover required
