```KEY Responsibilities```

- Prepare samples for analysis

-Ability to work unsupervised environment when taking bloods.

- Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols

- Record/ test results accurately and in a timely manner

- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies

```Qualifications```

-Fully Trained experienced Phlebotomist who has worked in a busy blood room

- Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting is highly desirable

- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology

- Familiarity with basic life support (BLS) techniques

- Ability to phlebotomise (collect blood samples) using proper techniques

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Background

Ultrasound Direct services continue to expand, and we are now seeking an

Phlebotomist/Admin staff this will be for our Northwest Region. You will be expected to travel between Chester, Liverpool and Warrington. If you are flexible with your hours we can offer more shifts.

The post holder will report to the Clinic Managers within the Northwest region and work alongside the wider team team to promote and enhance the national reputation of the business within their geographical remit and will be highly motivated and enthusiastic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will work alongside USD’s clinical team to contribute to the business, supporting the values, aims and objectives of USD.
  • Represent the organisation positively in all contacts, both directly with the public and between healthcare professionals and organisations.
  • Apply your best endeavours at all times to build service quality, reputation and positive influence of the organisation.
  • Ensure communication (both verbal and electronic) within the organisation are carried out effectively and in a professional manner.
  • Promote existing and new USD services and products.
  • Managing busy Reception duties, diaries and schedules/blood duties.
  • Adhering to CQC requirements at all times and assisting with audits
  • Excellent personal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Good organisational skills.

Other:

  • driving license and own car is essential and non-negotiable.
  • A DBS check will be undertaken.
  • The right person will require enthusiasm, excellent customer service skills, motivation and a have a 'can do' positive attitude.
  • You will be a team player.
  • You will be required to treat clients with the utmost respect and ensure that they receive a 5* service throughout their time with us.
  • Weekend working is non negotiable
  • Candidates need to be as flexible as possible in order to meet the needs of the business.

Job Type: Zero hours contract

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 10 per week

Experience:

  • Call handling: 1 year (required)
  • Phlebotomy: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Phlebotomy Certificate (required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 75% (required)
