Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as an Optical Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional eye care and customer service. In this energetic role, you will support the optical department by assisting with frame selection, lens fitting, and patient consultations. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help ensure each patient receives personalized care, accurate measurements, and a seamless experience from start to finish. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them in selecting suitable frames that match their style and prescription needs
- Take precise measurements for lenses, including pupillary distance and frame fit, ensuring optimal visual comfort
- Support the optical team in preparing lenses and assembling spectacles with accuracy and care
- Provide basic explanations about eye health, lens options, and frame features to enhance patient understanding
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the optical laboratory and display areas
- Assist with inventory management by tracking stock levels of frames, lenses, and accessories
- Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for staff and patients
Experience
- Previous laboratory experience or familiarity with optical equipment is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of human eye anatomy to better understand patient needs and assist with technical tasks
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Enthusiasm for learning about optical products, eye health, and customer service excellence
