About the role:
We are looking for a Clinical Support Technician to join our Technical Services team who provide support to a wide variety of workshops and clinical facilities at our Preston campus. The successful candidate will primarily be focused on supporting undergraduate classes and research within our state of the art clinical facilities based in Preston. Duties will include the set up and preparation of clinical laboratories, workshops and apparatus, and providing day to day technical support and advice to staff and to students.
About you:
The successful candidate will have experience in a customer-facing technical support role, with strong communication skills, both written and verbal. The role holder will require recent experience in preparing, supporting, and clearing clinical skills environments, including physiotherapy, nursing, and midwifery simulation and teaching sessions. You will also need experience in carrying out risk assessments and working in line with relevant Health & Safety policies and procedures.
An Level 3 qualification, such as A Levels or BTEC in a Science subject, or appropriate equivalent experiential learning in a related discipline is required for this role.
