Health screening is where many of our clients' journeys begin. As a Randox partner clinic, we offer over 350 laboratory blood tests, from single markers to full health screens, with every result reviewed by an Omnia practitioner and fed into the client's care plan.

The role

We are looking for an experienced, CQC-registered Phlebotomist to run our blood testing clinics on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings at our clinic in Turnham Green, Chiswick, with state-of-the-art facilities. If you are friendly, reassuring with clients, have a steady hand and a keen eye for detail, and want to be part of a growing multidisciplinary team, this role is for you!

What you'll do

• Carry out venepuncture safely and efficiently, usually in under ten minutes per client
• Put clients at ease, including anxious or needle-phobic clients and those with a history of fainting
• Check fasting status, anticoagulant use and relevant history before each draw
• Label, package and prepare samples accurately for same-day courier to Randox
• Keep clear, accurate records and maintain client confidentiality
• Follow infection control and health and safety procedures using sterile single-use equipment
• Work with our practitioners and front-of-house team so clinics run smoothly

Requirements

• Current CQC registration as an independent provider of diagnostic and screening procedures
• Valid phlebotomy certificate of competency
• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience
• Your own professional indemnity insurance
• Enhanced DBS check (issued within the last 12 months, or willing to obtain one)
• Up-to-date training in infection control, basic life support and information governance
• Able to commit to all three weekly sessions

Desirable

• Experience in a private clinic or with Randox sample handling
• Paediatric phlebotomy experience
• Healthcare Assistant (HCA) or nursing qualification
