As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Wills & Estate Planning Paralegal to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in producing work of the highest standard, and wants to play a key role in shaping the quality of our service.
The Role
Working remotely, you will manage your own client caseload from instruction through to completion, communicating with clients via telephone, email and video appointments. Alongside drafting Wills, you will also undertake quality assurance reviews of documents prepared by colleagues, provide technical guidance where appropriate, and help maintain the high standards our clients expect.
This is an ideal role for an experienced paralegal who enjoys a varied workload, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is passionate about delivering outstanding client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft high-quality Wills, including those incorporating complex trust provisions, ensuring compliance with current legislation and best practice.
- Review Wills and related documents prepared by colleagues, providing constructive feedback and ensuring quality standards are maintained.
- Manage your own client caseload efficiently from instruction through to completion.
- Conduct client appointments by telephone, email and video conferencing.
- Take clear and accurate instructions from clients and explain legal concepts in an understandable way.
- Maintain and continually improve drafting, compliance and quality assurance processes.
- Keep up to date with developments in Wills, trusts and estate planning law.
- Support, mentor and share knowledge with junior members of the team where appropriate.
- Contribute positively to the continued growth and success of the business.
About You
We're looking for someone who is technically strong, highly organised and committed to delivering an exceptional client experience.You will have:
- A recognised Paralegal qualification (preferred).
- At least five years' experience specialising in UK Wills and estate planning.
- Significant experience drafting complex Wills, including those involving trusts.
- A strong understanding of UK Wills, trusts and relevant legal principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
- The ability to explain complex legal matters clearly and confidently.
- The ability to work independently while remaining an active and supportive member of a remote team.
- A proactive, professional and client-focused approach.
