The Opportunity

We have a rare opportunity for an experienced and ambitious lawyer to join our growing Workplace Health & Safety team in Sydney.

Our team are genuine safety law specialists, and this is a dedicated safety and coronial law role, sitting separately from our Employment & Incentives team

As an Associate, you will be doing front end and back end WHS work, including:

  • Responding to incidents, including providing advice on improvement, prohibition, and infringement notices
  • Preparing for and appearing in court for WHS prosecutions and Coronial Inquests
  • Advising on safety governance and best practise, including officer duties

Candidate Profile

You will need to be an Australian-qualified lawyer, with 2-5 years post-qualification experience, ideally gained in private practice, along with the following skills and attributes:

  • Demonstrated experience working in workplace health & safety law
  • Strong organisational skills, the with ability to assimilate information quickly and handle multiple priorities within tight timeframes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Collegiate and collaborative
  • Be commercial aware and enthusiastic about business development
