Full job description
At Young Living Europe Ltd, we are passionate about delivering premium, responsibly sourced wellness products to our customers across Europe. Our success is powered by our people and a strong commitment to operational excellence, sustainability, and outstanding customer experience.
We are now looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to join our Digital Marketing team and support our growing European business. This role is hybrid, with a minimum of 1 day a week at our offices at Chiswick Park, London.
Main Objective of Position:
The Digital Marketing Manager will lead the day‑to‑day digital marketing activity for Young Living across Europe, with a strong focus on customer retention and reactivation. The role is about keeping existing customers engaged and active, encouraging repeat purchases, and re‑engaging those who have become inactive.
This is a hands‑on leadership position. The successful candidate will set and evolve the digital marketing strategy, define KPIs, and shape the omnichannel communications plan, identifying and adding new channels where they genuinely drive revenue. They will also oversee the ongoing transition to Shopify Plus and work closely with Commercial Marketing, Sales and US‑based colleagues to ensure European activity is aligned with the wider EU communication strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and planning
- Define the digital marketing strategy for Europe and translate the commercial plan into a monthly digital blueprint, covering key dates, product focus, offers and positioning.
- Set the department’s KPIs and hold the team accountable for achieving them.
- Design and continuously refine the omnichannel communication strategy, introducing new channels where they can meaningfully contribute to revenue.
- Own the annual digital marketing budget – planning, tracking and reallocating where needed.
Channel management and platforms
- Oversee content across 12 websites (11 languages), social media channels and the email marketing programme.
- Steer the migration from the current e‑commerce platform to Shopify Plus, coordinating with IT, e‑commerce and US colleagues to manage timelines and dependencies.
- Further develop our CDP‑driven omnichannel activity, making effective use of segmentation, personalisation and audience targeting.
- Evaluate and roll out new digital tools and determine where AI can genuinely remove workload from the team.
Retention and reactivation
- Shape the retention approach across the customer lifecycle, from welcome journeys through to long‑term engagement and win‑back activity.
- Work with Commercial and Sales to build offers and communications that bring inactive customers back.
- Use data (Tableau, Snowflake, CDP insights, social media analytics) to understand customer behaviour and adjust plans accordingly.
Team leadership
- Lead a team of seven: recruit, onboard, coach and set individual goals; step in and provide cover when team members are absent or overloaded.
- Continuously improve how the team operates - including briefing, sign‑off flows and use of the project management platform (ClickUp).
Stakeholder and cross‑functional work
- Act as the main point of contact between digital marketing and the wider business – Commercial, Sales, IT, Member Services, Events and the US marketing team.
- Manage briefings, timelines and sign‑offs, keeping projects moving even when requests are unclear or change at short notice.
- Represent digital marketing in wider planning discussions and ensure our channels are aligned with the broader business plan.
Key Competencies:
- Strategic thinking
- Team leadership
- Stakeholder management
- Adaptability in a fast‑changing environment
- Analytical mindset
- Strong communication skills
- Time management and project management
- Attention to detail
- Confident decision‑making under pressure
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong grasp of current digital marketing practice across web, social, email and other channels.
- Solid experience with CDP and marketing automation tools.
- Confidence working with reporting and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau or Snowflake.
- Experience managing content across multiple markets and languages.
- Comfortable working in a matrix organisation, particularly across regions and time zones, and building relationships with senior stakeholders.
- High level of AI fluency – uses AI tools in day‑to‑day work and is willing to test and roll out new AI‑driven ways of working to improve team delivery.
- Comfortable working at pace when priorities shift and keeping the team steady through change.
- Hands‑on experience with project management platforms such as ClickUp, Asana, Wrike or similar.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
Education & Experience
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years’ experience in digital marketing, digital communications, CRM or content marketing.
- 3–5 years’ people management experience.
- Experience leading cross‑functional projects with multiple stakeholders across markets.
- Experience of digital transformation initiatives and implementing new marketing technology.
Desirable
- Experience with Shopify Plus or a similar e‑commerce platform migration.
- Professional certifications in marketing or digital marketing.
