Full job description

Head of Marketing – Bewlake Lift & Haul Ltd / Boxit Containers Location: Flexible / Remote — with occasional travel to our Northern Ireland or Scottish offices base

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About Us

We are a fast-growing, privately owned group of businesses based in Northern Ireland, operating across specialist lifting and transport, container solutions, and logistics services. We've built something real — around £4m turnover, a loyal client base, and a reputation for delivering where others can't.

We're now at an inflection point. Our businesses are ready to scale, new ventures are in the pipeline, and we need someone to build the marketing engine that will take us there.

The Role

This is a rare opportunity to join a growing business at the ground floor of its marketing function — and own it. You'll start by getting under the skin of two of our core trading businesses: Bewlake Lift & Haul Ltd, our specialist lifting and transport operation, and Boxit Containers, our container solutions business. From there, you'll help shape marketing strategy across the wider group as new ventures launch and scale.

You won't be inheriting a team or a playbook — you'll be building both. This role suits someone equally comfortable with strategy and execution, who thrives where there's genuine opportunity to make their mark.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies for Bewlake Lift & Haul and Boxit Containers, with a view to expanding across the group
  • Build and manage our digital presence — websites, social media, SEO, paid campaigns
  • Create compelling content that speaks to our B2B client base across telecoms, infrastructure, construction, and logistics
  • Generate and nurture inbound leads to support the sales function in GHL
  • Develop brand identity and messaging across our businesses, ensuring consistency and professionalism
  • Plan and manage marketing budgets, reporting clearly on ROI and performance
  • Recruit, build, and lead a small marketing team as the function grows
  • Work closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership to align marketing activity with commercial goals

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a senior marketing role, ideally within B2B, industrial, logistics, or construction sectors
  • A strong generalist with expertise across digital marketing, content, brand, and lead generation
  • Experience building or significantly developing a marketing function — not just maintaining one
  • Leadership capability — someone who can hire and develop a team around them as the business scales
  • Commercially sharp, with the ability to tie marketing activity directly to revenue and growth
  • Self-directed and comfortable working with autonomy in a lean, entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with CRM, marketing automation, and analytics tools

What We Offer

  • Salary of £40,000 – £50,000 plus a profit sharing bonus scheme depending on experience
  • The autonomy to build a marketing function from the ground up
  • Genuine career progression — this role is intended to grow into a senior leadership position as the business scales
  • Flexible working arrangements — we care about output, not where you sit
  • The chance to work across a diverse, growing portfolio of businesses with real ambition

Pay: £37,500.00-£70,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Company events
  • Company pension
  • Employee mentoring programme
  • Flexitime
  • Free parking
  • On-site parking
  • Private medical insurance
  • Profit sharing
  • Work from home

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Ballycastle (County Antrim)
