Digital Content Designer

Contract type: Fixed Term Contract - 9 months
Location: Alderley Park
Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

We’re looking for a Digital Content Designer to join the Digital Marketing team on a 9-month fixed-term contract to create clear, user-centred content across our digital products. You'll help simplify complex financial products and services, enabling customers to make informed decisions and complete their goals with confidence.

You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team to design content that helps users complete tasks, understand complex information, and deliver seamless digital journeys.

Contributing across the full delivery lifecycle, from discovery through to live, using research, data and collaboration to shape effective content solutions. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently while contributing to a wider content design practice.

Joining us offers the opportunity to shape digital experiences for a customer-owned business, helping people make confident financial decisions. You'll play a key role throughout the entire content design process, from discovery and ideation to publication and optimisation, while collaborating with experienced UX designers, product managers and marketing specialists. With exposure to user research, experimentation and a growing content design community, you'll have plenty of opportunities to develop your skills, share ideas, and grow your expertise.

About the role

  • Design content across end-to-end customer journeys, ensuring consistency and clarity across touchpoints
  • Design and deliver clear, accessible, user-centred content for web channels
  • Work iteratively in agile teams, contributing from concept through to continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with UX designers, product managers and marketing teams
  • Use user research, analytics and feedback to inform content decisions
  • Develop wireframes and prototypes using Figma
  • Ensure content meets accessibility, governance and quality standards
  • Engage stakeholders to gather requirements, present solutions and incorporate feedback
  • Measure content effectiveness using analytics, user feedback and behavioural insights, making recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Contribute to the growth of our content design practice by sharing insights, participating in reviews and helping evolve standards and best practices

About you

  • Proven experience as a content designer on complex, user-centred digital products or services
  • Strong ability to write and structure clear, concise, user-focused content
  • Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams across the product lifecycle is desirable
  • Experience using Figma and FigJam, or similar tool
  • Good understanding of user-centred content design methodology
  • Knowledge of accessibility, inclusive design principles and usability standards
  • Understanding of SEO and GEO best practices and on-page content optimisation would be beneficial
  • Ability to explain and advocate for content decisions using user needs, research findings and performance data
