Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Junior Lawyer specialising in Clinical Negligence to join our legal team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their expertise within a reputable firm. The successful candidate will be involved in handling a variety of clinical negligence cases, supporting senior lawyers, and gaining valuable experience in this specialised area of law. The position is paid and ideal for those looking to build a career in medical law and client advocacy.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and management of clinical negligence cases from inception through to resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and analyse case law relevant to medical negligence claims.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, reports, and correspondence.
  • Support senior lawyers during client meetings, hearings, and negotiations.
  • Liaise with clients, medical experts, and other stakeholders to gather information and facilitate case progress.
  • Contribute to the development of case strategies by providing detailed case analysis and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal procedures and maintain accurate case records.

Experience

  • CILEX Qualified or Reqistered UK Solicitor - Will consider NQ - 7-years PQE
  • Previous experience within clinical negligence or personal injury law is essential.
  • Strong negotiation skills are desirable, with an ability to effectively advocate for clients’ interests.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on professionalism and client confidentiality.
