  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and support senior fee earners on complex litigation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to strict deadlines.
  • Excellent client care skills and a professional manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience using the Proclaim case management system would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the progression of clinical negligence and serious injury matters from initial enquiry through to settlement or trial.
  • Taking initial instructions from clients and assisting with case assessments.

  • Preparing court bundles.
  • Assisting with witness statements and other legal documents.
  • Reviewing liability and quantum evidence.
  • Assisting with the valuation of high-value claims, including substantial future loss claims.
  • Supporting pre- and post-issue litigation work under supervision.
  • Undertaking legal research and evidential investigations.
  • Managing administrative and case management tasks within the department.
  • Maintaining accurate time recording and file management.
  • Working proactively to meet court deadlines and litigation timetables.
