Full job description

The Role

We are looking for an organised and friendly Administrative Coordinator to join our team. This is a key role supporting the day-to-day running of our domiciliary optometry service, ensuring appointments are efficiently scheduled, patient records are accurately maintained, and our clinicians are fully supported in delivering outstanding patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and enquiries from patients, relatives, care homes, and healthcare professionals.
  • Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments and clinician diaries.
  • Plan and optimise daily visit routes for optometrists.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and databases.
  • Process administrative paperwork, referrals, and NHS documentation.
  • Liaise with care homes and community partners to coordinate clinics and visits.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding appointments, reports, and documentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve enquiries professionally.
  • Support compliance with GDPR, confidentiality, and company policies.
