We are strengthening our RaySearch UK team and are looking for an Application Specialist with a background in radiotherapy physics. In this role, you will combine your clinical expertise with innovative medical technology software to help clinics improve their workflows and deliver the best possible care for patients. You will join our UK & Ireland team, working alongside experienced colleagues to support the continued success and adoption of our solutions.

About the role

As an Application Specialist, you will play a key role in helping healthcare professionals get the most out of RaySearch’s innovative oncology software solutions. Based in a home office in the UK, you will work closely with clinics across the territory, supporting the implementation, training, and continued use of our products.

You will act as a trusted partner for our customers, combining your radiotherapy physics expertise with strong communication skills to provide guidance, troubleshooting, demonstrations, and training. You will also collaborate closely with our Sales organisation, supporting customer meetings, exhibitions, and professional events, while being part of our wider European Service and Support organisation.

The role involves regular travel within the UK and occasional international travel, as well as some flexibility regarding working hours, including occasional weekend work.

Your profile

You have a background in radiotherapy physics and clinical experience from working in a radiation therapy clinic, including treatment planning and quality assurance. You have knowledge of linear accelerator physics and modern treatment techniques, with experience in adaptive planning and commissioning of treatment planning systems considered an advantage.

You are curious, service-minded, and enjoy combining your clinical expertise with innovative technology. You communicate confidently with different stakeholders, enjoy working in an international environment, and are motivated by building strong relationships with customers. You take initiative, work proactively, and enjoy collaborating both independently and as part of a team.

Essential experience & skills:

  • Professional degree: qualified clinical technologist, dosimetrist, radiographer, physicist or related oncology healthcare discipline.
  • 5+ years of clinical experience in radiation therapy treatment planning.
  • Basic linear accelerator, quality assurance and dosimetry knowledge.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively to a group.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable experience & skills:

  • Oncology information systems experience
  • Brachytherapy planning experience
  • Additional proton therapy treatment planning experience
  • Linear accelerator, beam modelling experience
  • Sales and customer support experience
  • Experience of education, training and project management
