About Knights Dental Group

Knights Dental Group is an independently owned group of ten dental practices across South Wales. We provide NHS and private dental care and are continuing to develop our services, teams and practice network.

About the role

We are recruiting an experienced Business Manager to improve operational performance across the group and support our practice managers in delivering safe, efficient and patient-centred services. This is a hands-on multi-site role, working closely with the group owners, senior leadership team, clinicians and practice managers.

You will use financial and operational information to identify priorities, agree practical actions and make sure improvements are delivered consistently. You will also support business projects, acquisitions and the integration of new practices when required.

Key responsibilities

· Lead, support and develop practice managers across multiple locations.

· Monitor revenue, profitability, budgets and forecasts, and provide clear financial reporting to the senior leadership team.

· Use key performance indicators such as chair utilisation, patient conversion, treatment acceptance and staffing to improve performance.

· Agree and implement practical operational improvements across the group.

· Work with clinicians and practice teams to improve capacity and performance while maintaining high standards of patient care.

· Support recruitment, workforce planning, performance management and the development of practice leadership teams.

· Improve patient experience, satisfaction and retention through consistent service standards.

· Support compliance with Healthcare Inspectorate Wales requirements, General Dental Council standards and company policies.

· Contribute to business projects, acquisitions and the integration of new practices.

What we are looking for

You will combine commercial judgement with credible, supportive leadership. You should be comfortable moving between strategic priorities and day-to-day operational issues, using evidence to make decisions and following actions through to completion.

Essential experience and skills

· Experience managing multiple sites or a large healthcare, regulated or customer-facing operation.

· A strong record of leading, coaching and developing managers.

· Commercial and financial confidence, including experience with budgets, forecasts and management information.

· Experience analysing performance data and delivering measurable operational improvements.

· Clear communication and strong working relationships with clinical and non-clinical teams.

· The ability to manage competing priorities, change and accountability across several locations.

· A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly between practices.

Desirable experience

· Dental, healthcare or clinical operations.

· Healthcare Inspectorate Wales requirements and dental practice operations.

· Business growth, organisational change, acquisitions or practice integration.
