London: Harley Street, Knightsbridge and Westfield

Hours
40 hours per week including a 1-hour lunch break; 5 days per week Monday – Sunday.
Flexibility is required in line with clinic operational requirements. Typical shifts are between 08:00–18:00.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Clinic Manager to oversee the operational performance, ensuring exceptional patient experience, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and high-performing teams across multiple locations.

This is a senior operational leadership role requiring strong people management skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to operate confidently within a fast-paced private healthcare environment.

Job Purpose

The Clinic Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational management of London Vision Clinic in Harley street, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, clinic performance, compliance, and service delivery.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, surgeons, clinical teams, and operational staff to support business growth, maintain operational excellence, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Oversee the daily operational running of the clinic
  • Ensure efficient management of clinic capacity, patient flow, scheduling, and staffing
  • Monitor operational performance and implement workflow improvements
  • Support consistency in operational standards, policies, and patient experience
  • Resolve operational challenges promptly and effectively
  • Ensure clinic operates efficiently while maintaining exceptional service standards
  • Support implementation of new operational processes, systems, and initiatives

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, motivate, and support multidisciplinary teams across multiple locations
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and staff development
  • Support Clinic Coordinators and departmental managers with employee relations matters
  • Conduct performance reviews and support ongoing team development
  • Promote a positive, professional, and patient-focused culture
  • Oversee staffing rotas, annual leave planning, and workforce management
  • Support training and continuous professional development initiatives

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with CQC requirements, health & safety regulations, and clinical governance standards
  • Lead operational audits, quality assurance reviews, and compliance monitoring
  • Ensure clinic policies, procedures, and SOPs are effectively implemented and maintained
  • Support regulatory inspections and accreditation processes
  • Promote continuous improvement and operational best practice across the business
  • Work collaboratively with governance and clinical teams to maintain high standards of patient safety and care quality

Patient Experience & Service Excellence

  • Ensure exceptional patient experience standards are consistently delivered
  • Professionally manage patient concerns, escalations, and complaints
  • Maintain the highest levels of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality, particularly with VIP and international patients
  • Support service quality initiatives and patient satisfaction improvements
  • Monitor feedback and identify opportunities to enhance the patient journey

Commercial & Business Support

  • Monitor operational KPIs, productivity, and clinic performance metrics
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement and business growth
  • Work collaboratively with senior leadership on commercial and operational initiatives
  • Support efficient resource management and cost control across clinic operations

Person Specification

Essential

  • Previous 10 years of senior management experience within healthcare, private clinics, or a fast-paced service environment
  • Experience managing multiple departments
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent organisational and operational management ability
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
  • Experience resolving operational challenges independently
  • Professional, resilient, and solutions-focused approach
  • Strong commercial awareness and operational mindset

Desirable

  • Previous experience within private healthcare or surgical environments
  • Knowledge of CQC regulations and healthcare compliance standards
  • Leadership or management qualification
  • Project management experience
  • Experience supporting operational growth and service development
  • Understanding of clinical governance and patient safety standards
