Job Title: Regional Business Manager

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Multi-site – designated region across Banning Dental clinics

Reports to: Operations Manager/Director

Overview of the Role

The Regional Manager role is a pivotal leadership position, introduced as part of Banning Dental Group’s strategic growth and commitment to operational excellence. This role exists to drive commercial performance, ensure consistent delivery of company standards, and provide inspirational leadership to a designated group of clinics. You will be responsible for the overall operational and financial performance of your region, directly managing Practice Managers and supporting their teams to achieve success. This includes ensuring compliance, maximising patient experience, and delivering on revenue targets. This is a highly visible role for a commercially astute leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment, combining strategic thinking with hands-on operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & People Management

· Lead and line manage Practice Managers across your region.

· Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and tailored development plans.

· Set clear expectations, ensuring PMs are empowered and accountable.

· Support the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of high-calibre clinic teams.

· Promote Banning’s leadership culture, values, and behaviours at all times.

Operational Excellence

· Ensure all clinics operate in full compliance with CQC, clinical governance, and company SOPs.

· Conduct operational audits, implementing action plans to address issues.

· Monitor risk areas and address underperformance swiftly and constructively.

· Drive consistency in service delivery across all clinics.

Commercial & Financial Management

  • Ability to draft bespoke business plans for the clinics and implement them effectively to achieve strategic and financial objectives.

· Take full responsibility for regional revenue performance.

· Work with PMs to set, monitor, and achieve financial targets.

· Improve diary utilisation, patient flow, and conversion rates.

· Oversee budget management, cost control, and debt reduction.

· Implement forward-booking strategies to strengthen retention and reduce lapsed patient numbers.

Performance & Accountability

· Ensure PMs use MPC, trackers, and dashboards to monitor KPIs in real time.

· Lead monthly business reviews with each clinic to discuss performance, risks, and opportunities.

· Drive a culture where PMs actively manage their metrics, not just report them.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Work closely with clinical leads to enhance clinician performance and patient outcomes.

· Partner with marketing, HR, finance, and operations to deliver joined-up business plans.

· Support company-wide initiatives and the launch of new services.

Business Continuity & Support

· Provide senior operational cover in clinics when required, including during absences or high-demand periods.

· Lead from the front to protect patient experience and service standards.

What We’re Looking For

· Proven experience in multi-site leadership within dental, healthcare, or another regulated service sector.

· Commercially focused with a track record of driving revenue and operational efficiency.

· Strong compliance and governance knowledge with the ability to manage risk.

· Exceptional interpersonal skills – able to challenge, coach, and inspire teams.

· Highly organised, data-driven, and confident using business performance systems.

· Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced, growing organisation.

Benefits

· Competitive salary with performance-linked incentives.

· Company pension scheme.

· Employee discounts on treatments.

· Professional development and career progression opportunities.

· Supportive leadership and collaborative culture.

· Opportunity to influence and shape regional business performance.
