Job Summary

Alliance Clinical Services are seeking a dedicated and skilled DEXA Reporting Radiographer to join our dynamic medical imaging team. In this vital role, you will specialize in Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) scans, providing precise bone density assessments to aid in diagnosing osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases. Your expertise will ensure accurate image acquisition, thorough reporting, and exceptional patient care. Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality DEXA scans with attention to detail, ensuring optimal image clarity and accuracy for diagnostic purposes
  • Assist patients throughout the scanning process, providing clear instructions and compassionate care to enhance their experience
  • Analyze images for technical quality and collaborate with radiologists or physicians to prepare detailed reports
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, radiation protection standards, and infection control procedures
  • Support the integration of IT systems used for image storage, reporting, and data management within the department
  • Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and referring clinicians to facilitate seamless workflow and information exchange
  • Keep detailed records of all procedures performed, ensuring compliance with regulatory and departmental guidelines

Experience

  • Proven experience in medical imaging, specifically with DEXA scanning techniques and reporting processes
  • Familiarity with MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), CT (Computed Tomography), and other imaging modalities is advantageous
  • Strong patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse patient groups
  • Knowledge of IT systems related to medical imaging workflows and data security standards
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams and patients alike
  • Prior experience working in a clinical environment that emphasizes accuracy, safety, and professionalism
