Full job description

Job Title: MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST/ADMINISTRATOR

Hours: variable

Responsible to: Practice Manager/Operational Co-ordinator

Main Purpose of Post:

To work as part of the high performing, friendly team at Ashburton Surgery to ensure the delivery of accessible, efficient, high quality patient care.

The successful post holder will be expected to work as part of a team to contribute to the smooth running of the Practice. They will be the first point of contact for our patients, as well as providing administrative assistance to the GPs and management team. You will also be working on a busy reception desk greeting patients and dealing with patient queries. The post holder will project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors and will facilitate effective communication between patients, members the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies.

There will be a clear understanding of the importance of confidentiality. The post holder will also be familiar with policies such as Equality and Diversity and Information Governance.

What we want

We are looking for a dynamic, pro active individual(s) who have excellent attention to detail. A person who can work well as part of a team, as well as on their own initiative. The successful candidate will have a friendly, approachable manner with great problem solving skills.

Available hours of work:

Wednesday 8am - 18:00pm

Thursday 8am - 18:00pm

Friday - 8am - 18:30pm
