About Us

We are a large GP practice based in the heart of Wimbledon Village. The doctors and staff at the Wimbledon Village surgery take pride in offering the highest standard of patient centred healthcare. We run clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma, COPD and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including a travel clinic , minor operations, antenatal and postnatal care, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.

Job summary:

Full time Receptionist/ Administrator required for a busy GP surgery in Wimbledon. We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic person to join our team. You will need excellent communication/customer service skills and a good IT knowledge. Previous experience working within a GP surgery would be preferred but not essential as full in-house training will be provided.

Flexibility will be expected in this role as you may be asked to cover annual leave of other colleagues and this will be reimbursed as paid overtime.

Medical Receptionist Responsibilities:

  • Greet and attend to patients in person and over the phone.
  • Professionally assist doctors, staff, visitors and patients.
  • Maintain business inventory such as checking supplies, scheduling equipment and maintenance repairs.
  • Answer all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all doctor, staff and patient information.
  • Schedule appointments between doctors and patients.
  • Liaise between medical departments with discretion and professionalism
  • Adhere to policy and procedures during all activates.
  • Assist with admissions/treatment as per agreed protocols.
  • Ensure that stock levels are adequate and orders are made timeously.
  • Communicate medical results to patients under clinical supervision.
  • Complete accurate documentation of patient visits.

Working Hours: 07:15-15:15 (37.5 per week + 2.5 hours of paid lunch)
