Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and administrative support in a medical office setting.

Job Duties:

Duties include:

  • Dealing with patient queries by telephone and in person, efficiently and accurately.
  • Processing medications requests in a timely manner to ensure dispensed on time.
  • Supporting and liaising with the clinical team and with other health care professionals.
  • Dealing with anxious or distressed patients in an empathetic and reassuring manner.
  • Providing administrative support to clinicians and management team

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Minimum 5 GCSE, including English & Mathematics Grade C or equivalent.
  • The post requires flexibility to provide the level of service we deliver between 8:30- 6:00 week days
  • Previous experience of working in an office environment
  • Proficiency in the use of computer systems and relevant software.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to ensure consistent approach in dealing with duties.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and have excellent time-management skills
  • Ability to pay attention to detail to ensure accuracy and avoid errors.
  • Demonstrate the ability to adapt to changing situations and to handle unexpected changes
  • Understanding of confidentiality and Data protection in a healthcare setting.
  • Desirable -previous experience of working in a health care setting or reception experience.
