Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our dental practice. This role involves providing exceptional patient care while managing front desk responsibilities. The successful candidate will be an organised, communicative individual with a passion for supporting patients and ensuring smooth daily operations within the clinic. This position offers valuable experience in both clinical and administrative aspects of dental care.

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and materials are sterilised and ready for procedures
  • Support dentists during clinical treatments, including passing instruments and maintaining patient comfort
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including explaining procedures and post-treatment instructions
  • Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and reminders using IT systems
  • Handle reception duties such as answering phone calls, processing patient records, and managing correspondence
  • Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with data protection regulations
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the reception area and clinical spaces
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as billing, invoicing, and stock management

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Good IT skills, including familiarity with dental practice management software and basic office applications
  • Compassionate approach to patient care with a professional demeanour
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independence when required
  • Knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care is advantageous but not mandatory
