Role: Patient Care Coordinator

Location: Brighton & Hove

Hours: Mondays and Fridays, with additional ad hoc shifts available

Pay: £12.71 per hour

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Patient Care Coordinator to join one of our longstanding clients, a busy healthcare organisation in Brighton & Hove.

This is a fantastic temporary opportunity for an experienced Patient Care Coordinator with EMIS Web experience to support a busy healthcare team. You will be the first point of contact for patients, delivering excellent customer service while ensuring the smooth running of appointments and day-to-day administrative processes.

The Requirements

  • Previous experience using EMIS Web is essential
  • Previous experience within a GP practice or healthcare setting
  • Strong administration and IT skills
  • Professional and confident telephone manner
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Organised, reliable and able to work under pressure
  • Available to work every Monday and Friday
  • Current DBS certificate is advantageous

The Role

  • Welcome patients and respond to enquiries professionally
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and deal with patient queries
  • Book, amend and cancel patient appointments
  • Maintain and monitor the appointment system
  • Signpost patients to the appropriate healthcare professional or service
  • Enter and update patient information using EMIS Web
  • Process emails, correspondence and patient registrations
  • Support clinical and administrative colleagues with day-to-day tasks
  • Maintain accurate, confidential patient records
  • Deliver a friendly, professional and efficient service at all times
