Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and friendly Dental Practice Receptionist to join our dental team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations within the practice. This role involves managing appointments, handling patient enquiries, and supporting administrative tasks to maintain an organised and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a positive first impression
  • Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and rescheduling efficiently using practice management software
  • Answer phone calls, respond to patient enquiries, and direct calls appropriately
  • Handle patient check-in and check-out processes accurately and courteously
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed
  • Process payments and insurance claims in compliance with practice policies
  • Support administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
  • Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary materials
  • Assist with other front desk duties to support smooth practice operations

Experience

  • Previous office experience or administrative experience is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with dental or healthcare environments is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office or practice management systems
