Full job description

We are seeking a friendly, organised, and patient-focused Receptionist / Treatment Coordinator (TCO) to join our dental clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an excellent patient experience from the first point of contact through to treatment completion, while supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the practice.

The role combines front-desk reception duties, patient administration, treatment coordination, appointment management, and communication with patients regarding proposed dental treatments and associated costs.

Key Responsibilities Reception & Patient Services

  • Welcome patients warmly and professionally upon arrival.
  • Manage the reception area and ensure patients are attended to promptly.
  • Answer telephone calls, emails, and other patient enquiries.
  • Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments.
  • Manage the daily appointment diary efficiently.
  • Register new patients and update patient records accurately.
  • Handle patient enquiries regarding appointments, services, and general clinic information.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with data protection requirements.
  • Process payments and assist with invoices and receipts where required.

Treatment Coordination

  • Discuss proposed treatment plans with patients following the dentist's recommendations.
  • Explain treatment options, procedures, appointment requirements, and estimated costs clearly and professionally.
  • Help patients understand their treatment journey and answer administrative questions.
  • Coordinate treatment appointments between patients, dentists, hygienists, nurses, laboratories, and other relevant providers.
  • Follow up with patients regarding outstanding or incomplete treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate treatment-plan records and update patient management systems.
  • Assist with treatment acceptance and ensure patients are supported in making informed decisions.
  • Liaise with clinicians to ensure treatment plans and patient requirements are communicated accurately.

Pay: £24,000.00 per year
