Full job description

A great opportunity has arisen to join our fantastic team dedicated to providing quality healthcare to our patients, in a role that directly impacts on people's lives. Do you have experience of primary care, other healthcare experience, or significant and tested customer service skills? And do you have strong admin skills - confident with IT, attention to detail and an ability to learn and retain new information?

You will play a key role in helping clinicians manage their patients, ensuring they can access our services and follow-up appropriately.

All of our admin team are involved in the critical task of enabling access to services and booking the appointment best suited to the patient's needs. Equally, the role requires efficient, accurate administrative skills. So, in addition to dealing with patients (listening and interpreting their needs), you will be involved in a wide range of administrative duties. You will ensure the safe flow of information around the practice, ensuring patients are followed up correctly and receive the care they need. This involves managing patient contacts and correspondence, coding it appropriately, ensuring that the clinicians and GPs have all the relevant information they need.

20 hours per week (depending on candidate), working on a rota. You will work at both our sites (Ashbourne Surgery DE6 1RR and Brailsford Surgery DE6 3BX). Must be flexible between 8am-6.30pm, and able to cover holidays/sick leave. Salary offered will increase on after successful completion of probation period (3 months).
