Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Practice Receptionist to serve as the welcoming face of our dental clinic. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a strong background in office and administrative tasks. As the first point of contact for patients, you will be responsible for managing appointments and handling inquiries. Your role is vital in creating a positive patient experience and supporting the overall efficiency of our dental team. This would be Mon - Friday (Thursday evenings 12.00 - 20.00hrs) (15.00hrs finish on Fridays)

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist them with check-in procedures.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using our practice management software.
  • Answer phone calls promptly, providing accurate information and directing inquiries appropriately.
  • Manage patient records with confidentiality and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
  • Coordinate communication between patients, dental staff, and external providers to facilitate seamless care delivery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area to promote a professional environment.

Experience

  • Prior experience working in an office environment, preferably within a healthcare or dental setting.
  • Demonstrated administrative skills with proficiency in scheduling software and basic office equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, insurance procedures, or healthcare regulations is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Office experience combined with administrative experience will provide a solid foundation for success in this role.
