Full job description

Phoenix family care (GP surgery) are looking to employ a medical receptionist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be required to cover holidays and sickness.

Previous receptionist experience is desirable (at least 1 year), preferably in the NHS.

Job role includes: Welcoming patients and visitors. Answering the telephone – patient queries, booking appointments, dealing with prescription requests. Using the computer system (EMIS Web) to access and if needed update patient records. Contacting clinicians to convey information effectively.

Personal attributes - Able to work well in a team. Approachable and friendly. Good communication and organisational skills. Able to deal with pressure. Ability to problem solve.
