Full job description

The Malvern Clinic is currently recruiting for an onsite administrator and general assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will primarily be supporting our clinicians to deliver high standards of health care.

Position: Administration Assistant (Healthcare)
Location: Malvern (Worcestershire)
Hours: 12 hours (Friday morning, all day Saturday plus adhoc holiday cover)
Salary: £13 per hour

Closing date: Friday 11th September

Interview date: Saturday 26th September

Main Duties:

Reception duties, meet and greet, handling telephone/email enquiries

Administrating registration and bookings on a practice management software system

Taking payment for clinical services

Assisting with promotional activities

Maintaining the reception, communal and clinical environments

Organising utilities/maintenance services

Key Responsibilities:

As the first point of contact, all queries should be handled efficiently and professionally. You will contribute to the smooth running of the patient administrative process throughout the patient journey and actively support our provision of excellent patient care.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 (evidenced)
  • Proficient in the use of IT, including the use of software and systems
  • Basic financial awareness and ability to take payments
  • Previous administration experience in a private healthcare or similar environment preferable though not essential
  • We are seeking someone who is highly organised, articulate and accurate, who can work flexibly to support the needs of the business
  • Excellent communication and people skills
