Full job description

This Isn't Just Reception...

At Christchurch Dental Practice, we believe every smile starts long before a patient sits in the dental chair.

It starts with a warm welcome.

A reassuring conversation.

A friendly face.

Someone who genuinely cares.

We're looking for an exceptional Front of House Team Member to join our Patient Experience Team—someone who wants to create outstanding patient experiences every single day.

If you love helping people, enjoy working in a professional environment and want to be part of a team that's passionate about delivering 5-star service, we'd love to hear from you.

About Us

At Christchurch Dental Practice, we're proud to provide exceptional private dental care in a welcoming, modern environment.

Our patients choose us because of the experience we provide—not just the dentistry itself.

We believe every patient deserves to feel listened to, respected and genuinely cared for from the moment they contact us.

Our mission is simple:

To create confident smiles through exceptional care and unforgettable patient experiences.

Every member of our team plays an important part in making that happen.

About the Role

This is far more than answering phones or booking appointments.

You'll be one of the first people our patients meet, helping shape how they feel about our practice from the very first interaction.

You'll coordinate patient journeys, support our clinicians, manage busy appointment diaries and help ensure every patient leaves thinking:

"That was the best dental experience I've ever had."

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be responsible for:

  • Delivering a warm, professional welcome to every patient
  • Creating a calm and reassuring experience, especially for nervous patients
  • Managing clinician diaries and appointments efficiently
  • Supporting patients throughout every stage of their journey
  • Booking future appointments and maintaining excellent diary utilisation
  • Handling telephone and email enquiries professionally
  • Helping patients understand our membership plans and services
  • Working closely with our dentists, hygienists and wider team
  • Maintaining accurate patient records
  • Contributing to practice growth through exceptional service

We're Looking For Someone Who...

You'll fit in perfectly if you:

✔ Love working with people

✔ Have outstanding communication skills

✔ Stay calm and positive under pressure

✔ Are naturally organised

✔ Enjoy problem-solving

✔ Notice the little details

✔ Take pride in delivering exceptional customer service

✔ Love working as part of a supportive team

✔ Want a long-term career where you can continue to learn and grow

Previous experience in reception, hospitality, healthcare or customer service would be an advantage, but most importantly we're looking for the right attitude, personality and willingness to learn.

Why Join Christchurch Dental Practice?

We know that creating exceptional patient experiences starts with creating a positive workplace for our team.

When you join us, you'll enjoy:

⭐ Working in a beautiful, modern private dental practice

⭐ Being part of a friendly, supportive and professional team

⭐ Ongoing training and personal development

⭐ Opportunities to develop your skills and progress your career

⭐ A workplace where your ideas are valued

⭐ Structured systems and clear support from experienced leaders

⭐ The chance to make a genuine difference to patients every day

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role isn't measured by how many calls you answer.

It's measured by:

  • Patients feeling genuinely cared for
  • Smooth-running appointment diaries
  • Excellent patient feedback
  • Outstanding teamwork
  • Strong patient relationships
  • Patients recommending Christchurch Dental Practice to friends and family

Ready to Join Us?

If you're looking for more than "just another reception job" and want to build a rewarding career where people genuinely appreciate the difference you make, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and become part of a team that's redefining what exceptional dental care feels like.
