About Us:
We are a private, high-quality dental practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a professional, welcoming environment. Our team takes pride in maintaining the highest clinical standards while ensuring a seamless patient experience.

The Role:
This is a part-time position divided between two key responsibilities:

  • Dental Nurse: Supporting dentists during clinical procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment, and delivering excellent patient care.
  • Dental Receptionist: Being the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at the front desk.

The successful candidate will be adaptable, professional, and committed to upholding the standards of a premium dental practice.

Key Responsibilities:
Dental Nurse

  • Assist dentists and clinicians during treatments.
  • Prepare and maintain dental equipment, instruments, and surgery rooms to the highest standards.
  • Follow infection control protocols and maintain compliance with CQC standards.
  • Provide reassurance and care to patients throughout their visit.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records.

Dental Receptionist

  • Welcome patients warmly and ensure a professional, friendly atmosphere.
  • Manage appointment bookings efficiently using practice software.
  • Handle patient queries in person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Process payments and manage administrative tasks.
  • Support smooth communication between clinical and administrative teams.

Skills & Attributes Required:

  • Professionalism: Ability to represent the practice to the highest standards at all times.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a warm and approachable manner.
  • Organisation: Strong multitasking ability, with attention to detail in both clinical and administrative tasks.
  • Teamwork: A collaborative attitude, willing to support colleagues in all areas of the practice.
  • Patient Care: Compassionate, empathetic, and able to put patients at ease in a professional setting.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable moving between clinical and front-of-house responsibilities. Flexible on days worked.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • GDC registration (or working towards qualification as a Dental Nurse).
  • Previous dental nursing and/or reception experience desirable.
  • Knowledge of dental software systems an advantage.
  • Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements

  • A kind and caring disposition, with a genuine interest in helping others.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a warm and approachable demeanor.
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and dental software (training provided).
  • A professional telephone manner and customer service skills.
  • A proactive, reliable team player who is eager to learn.
  • Either have an existing qualification in dental nursing or experience in dental nursing.
  • Willingness to complete formal dental nurse training if necessary.
  • Up-to-date immunizations, including Hepatitis B (essential).
  • A satisfactory DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
