  • Supporting recalls, appointment confirmations and other patient communications.
  • Liaising closely with dentists, nurses and the wider team to ensure smooth communication.
  • Identifying and proactively resolving issues within the daily schedule.
  • Dealing professionally and compassionately with patient concerns and complaints.
  • Maintaining appropriate stock levels and ordering supplies where required.
  • Carrying out reasonable requests from management to support the smooth running of the practice.
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to GDPR and practice procedures.
  • Taking ownership of the overall front of house experience.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working specifically in a busy dental reception environment.
  • Good understanding of dental reception procedures and the patient journey.
  • Experience using dental practice management software.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Confident, professional telephone manner.
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient in a busy environment.
  • Proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Friendly, personable and positive attitude.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a genuine commitment to patient care.
  • Ability to work independently while being a supportive member of the wider team.
  • Professional appearance and manner.
  • Reliable and punctual.

Please note: we are specifically looking for candidates with dental reception experience. Applicants whose experience is solely within general reception or other healthcare settings will not be considered.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary of £13.00–£15.00 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Full-time, permanent position.
  • Monday–Friday working week.
  • Late evening on Wednesday until 6:30pm.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Free/on-site parking.
  • Modern working environment.
  • Ongoing training and development.
