About Us

We are a friendly, professional dental practice committed to delivering excellent patient care. We are looking for an experienced Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous dental reception experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and provide a professional, welcoming atmosphere
  • Manage the reception desk, responding to enquiries via phone, email, and in person
  • Schedule, confirm, and amend patient appointments efficiently
  • Process new patient registrations and maintain accurate dental records
  • Handle payments, issue receipts, and complete day-end financial reconciliation
  • Work collaboratively with dentists and dental nurses to maintain smooth patient flow
  • Manage NHS and private referrals, recalls, and appointment reminders
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and confidentiality policies
  • Perform general administrative duties as required
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and professional reception area

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a dental practice is essential
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills
  • Confident using dental practice management software (SOE, Dentally, R4, etc.)
  • Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • Friendly, professional, patient-focused attitude
  • Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work full-time hours (42.5 hours/week)
