Summerfield Health Centre is a friendly and supportive team which includes 10-15 clinicians/practitioners and another 10-15 reception/admin team members.

The role is extremely varied and would best suit a candidate who enjoys being busy at work and is keen to learn new skills.

We are looking for a flexible, motivated, reliable, conscientious and committed individual who can make a valuable contribution to our team.

Weekday shift patterns run from 7:45am (for 8am start) to 6:30pm. Occasional Mon/Fri evenings and Saturday mornings are also required. Current shifts required are:

- Mon AM

- Tues PM

- Thurs PM

- Fri all day

Customer service experience is vital along with the ability to multi task and work under pressure. The role will involve answering a high volume of telephone calls and dealing with these quickly and efficiently as well as providing administrative support to the clinical triage team. On busy days the practice can receive up to 500 incoming calls per day.

Your role of a Medical Receptionist is to present a smart, professional and caring image of the business.

Expectations include:

Answering all calls promptly and efficiently

Accurate recording of information

Maintaining patient confidentiality

Making appointments

Managing the shared email inbox

Filing

Admin tasks which including scanning and audits

Providing support to the triage clinician on duty

Dealing with all patient requests

Pay starts at £12.72/hour and increases to £13.22/hour once probation has been completed.
