The Opportunity

As a Receptionist/Administrator within Delphi’s Blackburn with Darwen Team, Reception will be the main focus of the role, you will work closely with clients offering support by combining skills and knowledge to be able to support clients through their recovery journey. Your role will also involve administrative duties such as data collection, data entry and filing will be handled efficiently and effectively, adhering to deadlines, and following policies and/or procedures to ensure accurate and timely support is delivered safely and accurately and ensuring clients receive a fast, accurate and effective service to meet their needs. This is an exciting and rewarding role where you’ll be able to positively impact people’s future, improving their prospects and their quality of life.

As an Administrator you may need to provide cover for our Prescribing Administrator duties. Clients will receive a fast, accurate and effective service to meet their needs, the Administrator will display a caring and supportive communication style when dealing with clients, delivering the best possible outcomes for those in your care.

You will be based at our Blackburn with Darwen Offices and your hours of work would be 18 hours per week. We are happy to discuss flexibility with shift patterns.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team but able to work independently as and when required.
  • A good standard of education to GCSE level or equivalent including English, Math’s, or a willingness to gain qualifications.
  • IT skills (including basic word processing) and previous experience of carrying out a similar role
  • An ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a commitment to high standards of service.
  • Proven organisational skills and time management skills, with the ability to work to deadline, independently and as part of a team.
  • A non-judgmental approach and an understanding of the needs and issues of working within the substance misuse field and a demonstration of the ability to work effectively with people regardless of their ethnic, cultural, social backgrounds, their gender, age, religious belief, disability and sexual orientation.
