Full-Time Dental Receptionist

We are a leading private specialist referral centre with an experienced team of specialist dentists, hygienists, and support staff. We are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care in a friendly, professional, and welcoming environment.

As the first point of contact for our patients and referring practices, our reception team plays a vital role in ensuring every patient receives an outstanding experience from their very first interaction.

The Role

This is a varied and rewarding front-of-house position where no two days are the same. You'll work closely with our clinical and management teams to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice while delivering exceptional service to every patient.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and create a warm, friendly, and professional first impression.
  • Manage appointment bookings and coordinate multiple specialist clinicians' diaries.
  • Maximise appointment utilisation and efficiently manage clinical schedules.
  • Process payments, arrange patient finance, and complete daily cashing up.
  • Support patients throughout their treatment journey and follow up after appointments.
  • Liaise with referring dentists and dental practices.
  • Handle patient enquiries professionally and efficiently.
  • Support the Practice Manager and clinical team with the smooth running of the practice.
  • Promote patient feedback and online reviews.
  • Assist with creating and scheduling engaging content across our social media and marketing platforms.
  • Help manage the practice's social media presence to maintain an engaging online profile.
  • Manage visitors and deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and gather treatment outcome data.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Friendly, approachable, and passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Professional with an excellent telephone manner.
  • Calm, organised, and able to prioritise effectively in a busy environment.
  • A proactive team player who shows initiative and takes ownership of their work.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • An excellent communicator with outstanding written and spoken English.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous dental reception or dental administration experience.
  • Experience using Dentally software.
  • Knowledge of Boxly patient finance (desirable but not essential).

Working Hours

  • Full-time permanent position
  • 42–45 hours per week
  • One Saturday per month, with a weekday off either before or after the Saturday worked, supporting a healthy work-life balance.

Salary

From £14.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
