Assistant Practice Manager (Part-Time)

CP Medical Clinic – Chelsea, London

Salary: £15.00 per hour

Hours: Minimum 18 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional hours.

About Us

CP Medical Clinic is an established, CQC-regulated private medical clinic in the heart of Chelsea. We provide high-quality private healthcare across GP services, specialist clinics, diagnostics and health optimisation, with a strong focus on professionalism, compassion and exceptional patient care.

We are looking for an organised, proactive and personable Assistant Practice Manager to support the day-to-day running of our busy clinic.

This is not a Medical Secretary role. It is an operational position suited to someone who enjoys helping a business run smoothly and is looking to develop a long-term career in healthcare management.

The Role

Working closely with the Practice Manager and our clinical team, you will help ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the clinic while delivering an outstanding experience for every patient.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming patients and supporting reception during busy periods.
  • Managing appointments, telephone calls and patient enquiries.
  • Assisting with the day-to-day operational management of the clinic.
  • Preparing and maintaining staff rotas.
  • General administration and office organisation.
  • Supporting CQC compliance and maintaining regulatory documentation.
  • Assisting with audits, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
  • Liaising with clinicians and external healthcare professionals.
  • Ordering clinical and office supplies.
  • Assisting with invoicing and general administrative duties.
  • Helping resolve operational issues as they arise.
  • Ensuring the clinic maintains consistently high standards of professionalism, organisation and patient care.

About You

You will have:

  • Previous experience working within a regulated environment (such as healthcare, pharmacy, dental, veterinary, care home or similar).
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
  • A professional, reliable and positive attitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Most importantly, you will be:

  • A genuine team player who enjoys supporting colleagues.
  • Warm, welcoming and approachable with excellent customer service skills.
  • Calm under pressure and able to use your own initiative.
  • Someone who enjoys taking ownership and solving problems.
  • Passionate about delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Desirable Experience

Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:

  • CQC compliance
  • Healthcare administration
  • Staff rota management
  • Private healthcare
  • Practice management software
  • HR administration
  • Basic social media or marketing

Career Opportunity

This role is ideal for an experienced healthcare administrator who is looking to take the next step into management.

We are happy to consider applicants with strong administrative experience who have the ambition and potential to develop into a Practice Management role.

Training and support will be provided for the right candidate.

Please Note

This is a varied role combining patient-facing reception duties with operational and management responsibilities. It is best suited to someone who enjoys working with people while also taking ownership of the day-to-day running of a busy clinic.

As we are open seven days a week, flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends on a rota basis will be required.

What We Offer

  • £15.00 per hour.
  • Minimum 18 hours per week with opportunities for additional hours.
  • Supportive and friendly working environment.
  • Career progression into Practice Management.
  • Ongoing training and professional development.
  • The opportunity to become an important member of a respected private medical clinic.

If you are looking for a varied role where you can develop your management skills while making a real difference to patients and colleagues, we would love to hear from you.

Please apply with your CV and a short covering letter explaining why you would be a great fit for the role.

Pay: From £15.00 per hour
