Front Desk Chiropractic Assistant - minimum 2 years customer service experience

Do you have a way of being able to talk to people and make them feel “at home” and comfortable. Many of our patients have been through years of pain before they came to us. Along with good professional care, they are looking for a friend to help guide them through their journey to better health.

We are looking for a receptionist/Chiropractic Assistant/front desk assistant to work in our Newcastle Chiropractic Clinic.

Are you organised and able to multi-task and prioritise projects. Can you meet deadlines and prioritise your day? Are you pro-active and always willing to take the initiative? Can you communicate effectively with people of all ages and from all different backgrounds in a clear but friendly manner?

Do you have a positive outlook on life? Are you energetic, self-motivated and willing to go the extra mile? Are you a team player and who can work with other brilliant team members?

This position is to run a busy front of house with a wide range of duties, delivering a great customer service to our patients daily at a consistent and high standard. You will also be assisting and supporting the Practice Manager doing two admin days.

We are currently recruiting a full-time role for this fantastic position! We offer a full in-house coaching programme to get you up to speed. We also offer a great working environment if you enjoy being busy.

We have a fantastic opportunity in a very busy clinic working 4 full days a week and the occasional Saturday.

The right candidate will need to be able to work up to 5 days a week when covering holiday or sickness– probably about 4-8 weeks a year. Rate of pay at the normal hourly rate.

The best candidate will need to be energetic, smart and professional in appearance and be a confident communicator with an excellent telephone manner and customer service. They will need to be patient, caring and compassionate and must have a positive outlook on life and stay calm under pressure. You must be trustworthy and adhere to the need for confidentiality and data protection (GDPR) at all times. Must have fantastic computer skills and admin and organisational skills.

Punctuality is essential.

Initial interviews will be carried via Zoom.

Job Type: Permanent
Starting Salary: £12.71/hour will increase after probationary period.

The role:

  • Meeting and greeting patients
  • Taking payments
  • Answering incoming calls and booking appointments
  • Typing emails and other correspondence
  • Maintaining patient records and respect confidentiality
  • Involvement in marketing and open days
  • Provide general reception and office support (computer and word/excel processing skills are essential)
  • Ensure practitioners are looked after and clinic is running smoothly
  • Maintaining office presentation, general cleaning duties
  • Ordering stock and paying suppliers/invoices/Filing
  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing correspondence

Preferred Requirements:

  • Great telephone manner, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Great computer skills
  • Be proactive, organised, reliable and consistent in their work
  • A desire to be challenged to learn new skills and grow into roles as needed

  • Experience in a similar health care support role would be favourable but not essential
