Job summary:

Higham Ferrer's Surgery is a friendly, supportive, semi-rural village practice with approximately 6,000 patients.

Main duties of the job:

We are currently looking to recruit a part time enthusiastic and motivated Receptionist/Admin to join our team on a part time contract, 25 hours per week.

This role is a 5-hour working day, applicants must be available to work between the hours of 8am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday.

About us:

The clinical team currently consists of 3 GP partners, 1 salaried GP, a Clinical Pharmacist, 4 Registrar's, 1 Nurse Practitioner, 1 staff nurse, and a health care assistant. We also have an experienced and supportive Management and Administrative team.

Job description/Job responsibilities

Reception Duties- Front of House. Taking Queries and answering the phones.

Admin Duties- Coding, Recalling, Scanning as per the business needs

Opening up/locking up of practice premises and maintaining security in accordance with practice protocols

Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointments system

Processing personal and telephone requests for appointments, visits and telephone consultations, and ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional

Processing and distributing incoming (and outgoing) mail

Taking messages and passing on information

Filing and retrieving paperwork

Processing repeat prescriptions in accordance with practice guidelines Computer data entry

Ordering, re-ordering and monitoring of stationery and other supplies Summarizing patient notes

Person Specification/Experience Essential

Experience with working within a public facing role

Desirable

Ideally working within primary care, however not essential

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 per week
