Full job description

THIS POST IS BEING ADVERTISED ON BEHALF OF CRWYS MEDICAL CENTRE, WEDAL ROAD, CARDIFF, CF14 3QX.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A PERMANENT POSITION.

We currently have a vacancy for a Medical Receptionist at Crwys Medical Centre. The Surgery is a 6 GP Partner practice with approximately 8800 patients.

Applicants should have excellent communication skills and a good telephone manner. The ability to deal with demanding situations involving the general public and a capacity to work using their own initiative within a busy team is essential. Experience preferred but not essential.

This is a permanent post working 33 hours per week and will include two later shifts to 18.30. Hours of work are below:-

Monday - 08.00 - 13.00

Tuesday - 08.30 - 18.30

Wednesday - 13.00 - 17.00

Thursday - 13.00 - 17.00

Friday - 08.30 - 18.30

The hourly rate of pay is £12.74 per hour.

You will be entitled to 5 weeks annual leave (pro-rata). NHS pension available.

Experience in using EMIS clinical computer system would be an advantage, but full training will be given.

This post will require you to be flexible enough to provide relief cover for the holidays or sickness leave of reception colleagues when necessary.

This can be a challenging role but very rewarding. You will have the full support of our team during training and beyond.
