Role
Our client are seeking a professional and highly organised individual to fill the role of Medical Receptionist. The Medical Receptionist is responsible for handling administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and taking patient information, as well as helping patients with a variety of questions and concerns.

Our ideal candidate is reliable, has computer experience and is capable of prioritising tasks. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a team-oriented environment and gain valuable medical experience.

Working days are Monday - Friday, 26.5 hours a week. The working days and hours are:

  • Monday – 8.00am - 5.30pm
  • Thursday – 8.00am - 5.00pm
  • Friday - 8.00am -5.30pm

Previous experience of working in the NHS is desirable.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Answer telephones in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Answer general questions about the nature of practices and procedures.
  • Greet patients and provide them with information about the practice.
  • Schedule appointments and send reminder notices to patients.
  • Answer general correspondence from patients, the public, and other medical professionals.
  • Be able to handle emergency situations.

Skills and experience

  • General admin experience and strong organisational experience required.
  • Previous medical admin experience preferred
