McKennell Dental Practice

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:15am–5:45pm

Experienced Dental Receptionists Only

We are looking for an experienced, confident and highly organised Dental Receptionist to join our team at McKennell Dental Practice in Victoria, Central London.

A minimum of 1 year’s dental reception experience is essential. Strong working knowledge of Software of Excellence (SOE) is also required.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands that great dental reception is not simply about answering phones and booking appointments. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of the patient journey, manages a busy diary effectively and genuinely enjoys providing an exceptional level of service.

About McKennell Dental Practice

McKennell is a long-established dental practice in the heart of Victoria, Central London.

Our fully refurbished practice provides NHS and private dentistry in a modern, professional and technology-led environment. We pride ourselves on delivering high standards of clinical care alongside an excellent patient experience.

You will be joining an experienced and supportive team of dentists, nurses and colleagues who work closely together to keep the practice running efficiently.

The Role

As one of the first people our patients meet or speak to, you will play an important part in how they experience our practice.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Welcoming patients warmly and professionally

* Managing appointments and maintaining an efficient and productive diary

* Handling telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries confidently

* Following up patient enquiries, outstanding appointments and treatment

* Explaining appointments, fees, payment arrangements and practice procedures clearly

* Taking payments and maintaining accurate financial records

* Using Software of Excellence (SOE) confidently for daily reception duties

* Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records

* Working closely with dentists and nurses to support the smooth running of clinics

* Responding calmly and professionally to patient concerns

* Ensuring patients are appropriately rebooked and followed up

* Helping minimise gaps, missed appointments and unused diary time

* Maintaining a professional, organised and welcoming reception environment

Who We’re Looking For

You must have:

✓ Minimum 1 year’s experience working as a Dental Receptionist

✓ Previous experience within a dental practice

✓ Confident working knowledge of Software of Excellence (SOE)

✓ Excellent spoken and written English

✓ Strong customer-service and communication skills

✓ Confidence discussing appointments, fees and payments with patients

✓ Excellent organisation and attention to detail

✓ A calm and professional approach in a busy environment

✓ Reliability, initiative and a positive attitude

We particularly value people who are proactive. If you notice an enquiry that hasn’t been followed up, a patient who needs rebooking or an opportunity to improve the diary, we want you to take ownership rather than wait to be asked.

What We Offer

We want good people to stay, develop and progress with us. Benefits include:

* Company pension

* Denplan employee benefits

* 24/7 GP access through eligible Simplyhealth/Denplan services

* Employee Assistance Programme and wellbeing support

* Free CPD and ongoing training

* Access to Denplan Academy learning resources

* Employee discounts on dental treatment

* Staff recognition and team incentives

* Career development and progression opportunities

* Supportive and experienced clinical and management team

* Modern, fully refurbished working environment

* Excellent Central London location in Victoria

Benefits are subject to eligibility and the terms of the relevant schemes and practice policies.

Working Hours
