Help Shape Scotland's Next Generation of Engineers

East Kilbride Group Training Association (EKGTA) has been supporting apprentices, employers and industry for more than 60 years.

We work with engineering employers across Scotland to develop skilled, capable and work-ready people through high-quality apprenticeship and workforce development programmes.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Training Advisor & Assessor to join our team and support apprentices and employers throughout the apprenticeship journey.

About the Role

This is a varied and rewarding position that combines learner support, workplace assessment, employer engagement and business development activities.

You will manage a caseload of apprentices, work closely with employers, conduct workplace assessments and reviews, support apprentice recruitment and help identify opportunities to enhance the services we provide.

As the primary contact for assigned employers and learners, you will play a key role in delivering excellent outcomes and maintaining EKGTA's reputation for quality.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and support a caseload of apprentices and learners.

Conduct workplace assessments and progress reviews.

Build strong relationships with employers.

Support apprenticeship recruitment and selection activities.

Promote learner achievement, progression and wellbeing.

Ensure compliance with awarding body and organisational requirements.

Identify workforce development opportunities and support business growth.

About You

You will have an engineering background together with a genuine passion for supporting people to develop their skills and careers. This could be from the Electrical, Mechanical, Process, Energy or Manufacturing sectors.

You will be organised, professional and confident working with both learners and employers, with the ability to build positive relationships and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Experience in apprenticeship delivery, assessment, training or mentoring would be advantageous as well as:

CAVA/A1

IQA qualification

Engineering apprenticeship completion

HNC/HND in Engineering discipline
